Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Statement
At WiNGS, diversity, equity, and inclusion are at the core of who we are. Our commitment to these values is unwavering – across all of our work and how we serve. They are central to our mission and to our impact. We know that having varied perspectives helps generate better ideas to achieve our mission, “Empower women. Fight poverty. Impact generations.”
The leadership at WiNGS, board of directors and staff, have adopted this vision and are committed to the following actions:
- Diversifying board members
- Diversifying senior staff, when and where applicable
- Staff training to raise awareness, celebrate our differences and practice including diverse perspectives in our daily work
Staff led Culture Committee, who organize and report on activities in All Staff meetings.
Culture Committee Mission Statement
WiNGS Culture Committee is a cross-functional committee that identifies, discusses, and plans activities to promote WiNGS’ mission, values and desired culture throughout the organization. WiNGS Culture Committee encourages a workplace culture that helps motivate professional/personal development, values diversity and inclusion, and encourages WiNGS staff to engage with each other and those in our communities. WiNGS Culture Committee’s goal is to enhance our work environment so that we can recruit and retain a workforce that reflects the diversity in our community.
